BP intends to buy the shares of ExxonMobil and Chevron companies on the “Azari-Chirag-Gunashli” (ACG) project, the group chief executive of BP Robert Dudley said, ONA reports citing Interfax.
According to him, BP is pleased to be involved in the ACG project, but if there is a chance to increase its share on the project the company will benefit from it: “Everything will depend on the price.”
ExxonMobil and Chevron are conducting relevant assessment work and have not announced a tender to sell the shares.
Note that BP acts as an operator of the ACG project. The share of the company amounts to 30,37 %. The other participants companies of the project are SOCAR (25%), “Chevron” (9,57%), “ExxonMobil” (6,79%) ONGC (2,31%), “Inpex Corp.” (9,31%), “Itochu Oil” (3,65%), “Statoil” (7,27%) and TPAO (5,73%).
