A passenger train consisting of 10 wagons produced by Switzerland Stadler Rail Group on the order of Azerbaijan Railways Closed Joint-Stock Company has arrived in Baku, Public Relations Department of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC told ONA.
It should be noted that the train, which will run on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, consists of nine passenger wagons and a dining wagon. The composition proceeded from Switzerland to Turkey, and then to Georgia. The train arrived in Baku after testing in Akhalkalaki - a point of rearrangement of carload carriages from 1520 mm gauge to 1435 mm gauge.
In the second stage, is expected to purchase another 10 wagons. Wagons are constructed using cutting-edge technology.
