Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev met with the delegation led by Radik Vondrashek, chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament, ONA reports.
The minister Shahin Mustafayev has emphasized his interests in Azerbaijan-Czech affairs, the mutual visits of the heads of states to strengthen relations between the countries and the importance of agreements achieved during those meetings. It was mentioned that Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic closely cooperate in political, economic and humanitarian spheres.
A Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership was signed between two states in 2015, as well as a contractual legal basis was established. The parliaments of both countries have friendship groups on mutual cooperation. The Activity of the Joint Commission on economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic is important for bilateral relations. Currently, in Azerbaijan, there are 26 companies operating due Czech capital in the spheres of service, communication, trade, construction and etc. More than 88% of Czech trade turnover in the South Caucasus belongs to Azerbaijan. Our countries cooperate in the areas of machine industry, finance, trade and mutual investment.
The possibilities of cooperation in pharmaceutics, mechanical engineering, chemical industry, transport and transit, tourism and ICT are extensive.
