SOCAR to expand its opportunities in Turkey’s gas market

After the purchase of subsidiaries of German EWE company in Turkey by SOCAR, “SOCAR Turkey Enerji A.Ş.” (SOCAR Turkey) will provide annually 3,5-4 bln. trade of gas, Head of External Relations of SOCAR Turkey Murat LeCompte told ONA.

Remind that, the sale of “Bursagaz”, “Kayserigaz”, “Enervis”, “EWE Energy” and “Millenicom” owned by “EWE Turkey Holding” to SOCAR Turkey was completed in June this year. According to him, before the acquisition of new assets, SOCAR provided gas sales in Turkey.

For instance, the “SOCAR Turkey” state oil company provides gas for the “Star” refinery plant and the “Petkim” petrochemical complex operating in Turkey. It has expanded its sales with the acquisition of EWE Turkey Holding assets. The sales circle has been expanded with the acquisition of assets owned by  “EWE Turkey Holding”.
