The transportation of commercial gas through Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) will begin in the second half of 2020, said in his statement head of Investment of SOCAR Vagif Aliyev, ONA reports.
According to him, the delays are not foreseen within the Trans-Anatolia Pipeline and completion of all works is considered to be finished by the end of July.
The final stage of the Phase II that lies from Eskishehir to Edirne-İpsala of TANAP which will ensure the transit of produced gas within Azerbaijan’s Shah Deniz-2 project has been launched. It has been started to supply gas to the system for testing purposes since April 15. The completion of preparations of the system to exploitation and making the system ready to transport testing gas to Europe is expected to happen by the June of this year.
According to V.Aliyev, Tap project will need the gas for only testing purposes and it will definitely be supplied: “However, the commercial operations will be started at the second half of 2020"
