Southern Gas Corridor to reduce Europe’s dependence on Russian gas

Southern Gas Corridor project aimed to reduce Europe’s dependence on Russian gas, ONA reports citing Financial Times.

Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), which is the part of the Southern Gas Corridor, will be completed by 2020 so that this will allow Azerbaijan to transport gas to Europe.

Note that the pipeline is expected to pump 10 billion cubic meters of gas annually to Europe through the Shah Deniz-2 project.

This pipeline will run through Greece, Albania and the Adriatic Sea to the south of Italy.
