In January 2019, Turkey has imported 808 mln. cubic meter gas from Azerbaijan that is by 36 % more compared to January of the previous year, ONA reports citing Energy Market Regulatory Authority of Turkey (EPDK).
Thus, Azerbaijan stands in the third place of Turkey's overall gas imports.
Turkey imported 594,15 mln. cubic meter gas from Azerbaijan in January of the previous year.
Russia stands in the first place of Turkey's gas imports, so nearly 1,84 mln. cubic meters of gas were exported to Turkey from Russia in January.
Iran, which ranks second in the reporting period, has exported 824 mln. cubic meter gas to Turkey.
Notably, Turkey's gas imports dropped by 6.54% to 5,81 bln. cubic meters in January compared to the same period of the previous year. Thus Turkey imported 6,23 bln cubic meter gas in January 2018.
In January of the current year, total imported gas to Turkey amounted to 3,47 bln cubic meters of gas through the pipeline network and 2,34 bln cubic meters was liquefied natural gas (LNG).
