The Lithuanian court has sentenced the former USSR defense minister Dmitry Yazov, who committed the January 20 tragedy, to 10 years in jail, ONA's Russian bureau reports.
According to the report, the Vilnius court docket is predicted to condemn ex-Soviet officer Dmitry Yazov for crimes in opposition to humanity.
The court sentenced the former USSR Defense Minister to 10 years imprisonment.
D. Yazov was found guilty of crimes against humanity and the military.
Note that Dmitry Yazov is also guilty of the events of January 20, 1990. Under his leadership, on the night of January 19-20, 1990, USSR troops opened fire on people in Baku with heavy equipment and various types of weapons.
