Four people involved in Nardaran case pardoned - UPDATED

Four people involved in Nardaran case were among the pardoned prisoners by the relevant Order of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, ONA reports.

Zulfugar Mikayilov, Elman Aghayev, Elkhan Hasanov and Ruzi Ismayilov were pardoned. 

Recall that on November 26, 2015, the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted a special operation in the Nardaran settlement of Baku. As a result, several people were detained, including Taleh Bagirov.

They were charged with terrorism and other serious crimes.

According to the verdict of the Court of Grave Crimes of December 6, 2017, Zulfugar Mikailov was sentenced to 17 years, Elman Agayev to 13 years, Elkhan Hasanov to 12 years and 3 months, Ruzi Ismailov to 15 years.

The order signed today by President Ilham Aliyev concerns 431 people.
