The Supreme Court considered the cassation appeal against the decision of the Sheki Court of Appeal against the chairman of the REAL party, Ilgar Mammadov, ONA reports.
The decision was announced at the trial chaired by Ahmed Nurmamedov.
According to the decision, the probation in respect of I. Mammadov is reduced to 5 years 6 months 9 days, and this term should be considered to be served.
Note that on August 13 last year, the Sheki Appeal Court decided to release Mammadov. According to the decision, the remainder of the arrest was replaced with probation of 6 years.
Recall, I. Mammadov and former deputy chairman of the party "Musavat" Tofiq Yagublu are accused of organizing mass riots in Ismayilli on January 24, 2013.
