As reported earlier, videos have been disseminated on social media and websites at night hours last day reflecting a fire on the Caspian Sea and relevant investigation works have immediately been started by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, press service of MES told ONA.
It has been found out during the initial investigation that non of oil-gas production, other industrial and transport infrastructure facilities on the sea have been subjected to an emergent incidence.
Intelligence flights have been started at early hours today in the Caspian Sea by involving helicopter of Aviation group of the Ministry. According to the initial observations, during flight a fact of mud eruption has been found out in the Dashli Island, about 30 km away from the shore in the Salyan direction of the sea. A relatively small blaze is observed in volcanic crater now. Volcano has no danger for oil-gas infrastructure and other facilities in the sea, as well as human life.
