Azerbaijani, Turkish defense ministers met in Kakheti - PHOTO - UPDATED

The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, who is on an official visit to Georgia, met with the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Hulusi Akar, ONA reports citing the press service of the Defence Ministry.

During the meeting, the ministers discussed the issues of development of cooperation in military, military-technical, military-educational, and other fields, and noted the importance of the experience gained by the servicemen in the joint exercises.

Colonel General Z. Hasanov expressed his gratitude for the support provided by fraternal Turkey in the Patriotic War.

It was noted that the sincere relations between the heads of the two countries had a positive impact on military cooperation and the strategic alliance was based on friendship and brotherhood.

In the end, the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Z. Hasanov, expressed confidence that the cooperation based on mutual trust, confidence, and support will continue successfully develop and strengthen.

A bilateral meeting has started between the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, and Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, ONA's local bureau reports.

Z.Hasanov and H.Akar have come together in the Kakheti district within the framework of the trilateral meeting of the Azerbaijani-Georgian-Turkish ministers.

During the meeting, the parties have discussed the cooperation relations in the security and military field between the two countries.

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia Faig Guliyev and Fatma Ceren Yazgan, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia have attended the meeting.

Later, the bilateral meeting continued closed to the press.
