“The meetings of the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister with the Armenian side or the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs on the peaceful settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be held in full compliance with the joint statements adopted in the "3+2" format”, said the chief of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Leyla Abdullayeva, ONA reports.
According to her, the mentioned statements openly support the necessity of preparation of two nations to the peace.
“The Armenian leadership should understand that the existing status quo is unacceptable and unstable, and this process cannot last forever. We call on the Armenian Foreign Ministry to join the declarations adopted in the “3+2” format and be more pragmatic, as well as show confidence in the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs’ activities and support them. If the Armenian side is talking about confidence-building and sincerity in negotiations, then they, like the Azerbaijani side, should try to create mutual trust, as well as make comments corresponding to this. They should also join the efforts for creation of peace, stability and prosperity in the region,” she said.
