“Turkey's co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group was once discussed. But the issue is resolved by consensus and Armenia does not want Turkey's co-chairmanship in the Minsk Group”, said Ziyafat Asgarov, the First Deputy Chairman of the Milli Mejlis, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Defense, Security and Anti-Corruption, ONA reports.
Z. Asgarov noted that today, each of the three co-chairmen of the Minsk Group is a permanent member of the UN Security Council: “Therefore, although Turkey is a co-chair, the situation will not change. The world is unfair. Azerbaijan has to strengthen itself.”
Deputy Speaker of the Milli Mejlis said that President Ilham Aliyev has recently received ambassadors of Muslim countries: “Muslim states need unification. Unfortunately, unlike Christian states, there are big problems, disruption among Muslim states. Someone says that one is Sunni, one says the other is Shiah”.
