Head of Romanian delegation to OSCE PA: “Status-quo is not sustainable”

“The conflict in Ukraine poses danger to stability of the whole Europe including the Black Sea region where the security environment is very fragile already due to the conflicts in Moldova and Nagorno Garabagh”, said Lucian Romascanu, head of Romania’s delegation to OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA) at the winter session of the organization’s General Committee for Political Affairs and Security held in Vienna, ONA reports.

“The solution of the protracted conflicts in the framework of the OSCE should be the main issue on our agenda. The status-quo can be comfortable for many people, but it is not sustainable. It is necessary to make more efforts. In addition to the political perspective, we should also consider other aspects from which the OSCE can provide support to solution of these conflicts because this organization has a number of advantages”, L. Romascanu noted.
