Member of Turkish delegation to OSCE PA: “The status-quo regarding Nagorno Garabagh is unacceptable”

“The status-quo regarding the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno Garabagh conflict is unacceptable and is not sustainable”, said Mehmet Sait Kirazoglu, member of the Turkish delegation to OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA) at the winter session of the organization’s General Committee for Political Affairs and Security held in Vienna, ONA reports.

He said Turkey is committed to the efforts made in the area of solution of Nagorno Garabagh conflict in a peaceful way, in the framework of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

“Turkey plays great role in terms of security and stability of the South Caucasus and is ready to contribute to the peaceful solution of the regional conflicts. As for the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno Garabagh conflict, we would like to reiterate that the status-quo is unacceptable and is not sustainable. As a member of the OSCE Minsk Group Turkey is committed to the efforts made in the area of feasible and long-term solution of the conflict in the framework of Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and in accordance with resolutions of the UN Security Council”, M. S. Kirazoglu noted.
