Nazarbayev: "Kazakhstan contributed to reducing tensions around Nagorno-Karabakh"

"Kazakhstan hopes for a peaceful resolution of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine", said Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Chairman of the Security Council of Kazakhstan who served as the first President of Kazakhstan, at a meeting of the session of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, ONA reports.

Kazakhstan is known in the world as an effective peacemaker because the country’s neighbors and distant neighbors believe, he said.

“Our country has contributed to reducing tensions around Nagorno-Karabakh, Pakistan, India, Iran and Syria, Russia and Turkey, as you remember. We want a peaceful resolution of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. All the time I connect at their request, we still need to deal with. Always all wars, all conflicts end in peace, and this one will end someday. Many times we helped Kyrgyzstan to come out of conflicts and many others, ”said Nazarbayev.

He also recalled that 30 years ago, international experts said that Central Asia and Kazakhstan would become a region where clashes and unrest would begin, Nazarbayev recalled. During the years of independence, the people of Kazakhstan have refuted destructive forecasts, said the country's first president.
