The OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak is ready to make every effort to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, he said this at a press conference in Yerevan, ONA reports citing news.am website.
“I am ready to do everything to be useful in finding a solution to the conflict. I completely trust the co-chairs of the Minsk Group and Ambassador Kasprzyk. I do everything in close coordination with them,” said Miroslav Laichak.
Speaking about the principles of settlement, he recalled three internationally recognized principles: territorial integrity, the right of peoples to self-determination, the non-use of force or its threat.
“This is the architecture on which the settlement should be built,” said Laichak.
Answering the question about the participation of the separatist regime of Nagorno-Karabakh in the negotiation process, the OSCE Chairman-in-Office stressed that changing the format of the negotiations should be acceptable to all parties.
