OSCE CIO welcomes decrease in violence at the line of contact

The OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Foreign Minister of Slovakia, Miroslav Lajcak, confirmed the assistance of the Slovakian chairmanship to the consistent search for a settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, ONA reports citing news.am

At a press conference in Yerevan, Miroslav Lajcak stressed that the focus of the Slovakian chairmanship is people, the main theses are people, dialogue is stability.

“Our goal is to build a safe future. I came to the region at the beginning of the Slovak presidency, because I want to listen to people and understand the situation,” said Lajcak.

At the same time, he welcomed the reduction in violence on the line of contact. “There are many challenges, but there are grounds for giving a positive impetus to the process,” said Miroslav Lajchak.

He stressed the importance of creating an atmosphere of trust, preparing the population for peace, and continuing meetings.
