"The positive trends observed in Karabakh are proof of the correctness of the line approved by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia in the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh," Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing held today, ONA's Moscow bureau reports.
M. Zakharova said the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh continued to stabilize during the week: "No ceasefire violations or provocations against the Russian peacekeeping contingent were reported. It is possible to ensure the implementation of the main provisions of the Tripartite Declaration without any serious incidents. These positive trends are proof of the correctness of the line approved by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia. At present, the parties are fully implementing the provisions of the tripartite statement in practice."
Russian MFA official then informed about President Vladimir Putin and foreign minister Sergei Lavrov’s contacts on Nagorno Garabagh during the last week. M. Zakharova talked about the visits of the Russian interagency delegation to Baku and Yerevan on November 21.
