Samad Seyidov: “None of the mosques remained in occupied Azerbaijani territories”

“The European Court has recently made a decision on “Chiragov case”. According to the decision, Armenia has control over Nagorno-Karabakh,” chairman of the Committee for International and Interparliamentary Relations of the Azerbaijani Parliament Samad Seyidov said at the conference titled “Azerbaijan in Europe” held at Azerbaijani Parliament.

Seyidov stated that the decisions of the UN and other international organizations reflect the fact of the occupation of Azerbaijani lands: “Today, there are real Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan presented by international media outlets. Real Azerbaijan is a stable, developing and holds international events. But in Azerbaijan presented by these mass media, supposedly, there are contradictions, people's rights are violated. There is a synagogue located in the center of Strasburg, but it is not open due to danger. Currently, synagogues are open in Baku, Azerbaijan. Unlike in Europe, nobody thinks that it is dangerous to drink tea together in the synagogue. There is an Armenian church in the center of Baku. However, there doesn’t exist any mosque in the occupied areas.”

S.Seyidov reminded that representatives of Russian and Jewish minorities are represented in the Azerbaijani parliament: “ Azerbaijan has found the answers of the question about Islam and democracy combination, which Europe did not find. The number of covered women is less in Azerbaijan than Russia
