Tural Ganjaliev: "We brought our demands and wishes to the attention of the co-chairs"

“The statement of the President Ilham Aliyev in the Valdai International Discussion Club “Garabagh is Azerbaijan and an exclamation mark!” once again showed that the Nagorno Garabagh issue is on the agenda and the day of our return to our lands is close,” Tural Ganjaliyev, chairman of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno Garabagh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan, said during a round table on the theme “Garabagh is Azerbaijan and an exclamation mark!” at the Center for Analysis of International Relations (CAIR), ONA reports.

T. Ganjaliyev noted that the community continues to act actively: "Both in the country or abroad, we hold intensive negotiations. This is the second time we are meeting with the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group. The last meeting took place yesterday. Right after our meeting, the co-chairs made a statement. The statement noted that they also met with the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno Garabagh. The statement of our community as an interested party to the conflict, as well as the double mention in the statement of the co-chairs for one year and the opposition of our community as an interested party to the Armenian false statements and arguments, shows that the false statement of the Armenians is not accepted. We exist as an interested party to the conflict, so the meeting of the co-chairs with us has become a cause of great concern, especially among the separatists of Nagorno Garabagh. Putting forward various reasons and allegations, they cannot digest the co-chairs' references in their statement to our community."

The chairman of the community noted that we should more actively participate in the information war, negotiations, discussions: “Yesterday, we brought all our demands, wishes to the attention of co-chairs. They noted that they repeatedly appealed to the Armenian community for a meeting and dialogue. The OSCE Minsk Group has also repeatedly transmitted this message to them. But the Armenian community has not yet responded to a meeting with us. The entire international community recognizes that as a result, in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, two communities must live together. And the Armenian community is well aware of this. But the fact that they do not want to live with us speaks precisely about their unconstructive intentions. We openly put this question before the co-chairs, if in the past they lived with us within the framework of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, why did they refuse to build a regular dialogue? This once again testifies to the unconstructive position of the Armenian leadership and the separatist regime and that they are aggressors.”
