“There is no any state in the world that its army is preparing for peace. The task of the army is especially to be ready for war, not peace,” chief of press service of Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan Vagif Dargahli said while commenting on Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan's statement on Azerbaijan's military-political leadership prepares the Army for peace, ONA reports:
“The function of the army is always to be ready for war, ensuring the independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, as well as security and protection of the country,” he said.
“As the Supreme Commander-in-Chief stated, if Armenia wants peace, Armenian soldier must vacate unconditionally Azerbaijani lands. The military-political leadership of Armenia should once again understand that only after liberating our lands from the occupation Azerbaijani Army can consider about peace. Under current conditions, the Azerbaijani Army is ready for war, not peace,” Colonel V. Dargahli stated.
