Cavusoglu: “Uzbekistan’s membership to Turkic Council is a historical step”

“Uzbekistan is one of the most important countries in Turkish world. It means that the membership of Uzbekistan to Turkic Council is a historical step,” Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said at the meeting of Council of Foreign Ministers of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council) held in Baku, ONA reports.

The Turkish minister said that this step of Uzbekistan will strengthen the Turkic Council more.

"As the Turkish nation, we are very glad about Uzbekistan's decision," Cavusoglu said.

Note that, some time ago, Uzbekistan decided to join the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council).
