The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Azerbaijan has created a polling station to vote for the Federal National Council elections, the Ambassador of UAE to Azerbaijan Mohammed Ahmad Al Qubaisi told ONA.
He stated that voting from abroad is intended to meet the franchise rights of citizens that are currently residing outside the country to study, receive medical treatment or for other purposes. Members of the electoral body located outside the UAE have the right to vote at one of the 118 polling stations abroad that will be hosted at the nation’s embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions. Voting from abroad will take place on Sunday, September 22, and Monday, September 23, 2019.
The Ambassador noted that three elections were held since 2006.
