Georgian FM: “Progress on the Keshikchidagh issue will be step by step”

“I am certain that we will solve Keshikchidag issue in acceptable form both for Georgia and Azerbaijan”, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia David Zalkaliani, ONA”s Georgian bureau reports.

The Minister stated progress on the Keshikchidagh issue will be step by step

“Georgia and Azerbaijan is combined by general history and geography. They are directions, which join and do not separate us. Solution of any conflict, appeared between two countries, two main strategic partners, in accordance with our strategic interests, is very essential. We will move forward step-by-step, as it is very sensitive issue. Works will be continued within State Commission on Delimitation and Demarcation of state borders between Azerbaijan and Georgia. You know well that specialists’ meeting have been held and they got familiar with the situation during the period. I am sure that we will achieve solution of the issue that is mutually-acceptable both for Azerbaijani and Georgian sides”, noted D. Zalkaliani.

Stressing Azerbaijan’s readiness for the solution of the issue, Mr. Zalkaliani reminded that next meeting of the State Commission on Delimitation and Demarcation of state borders between Azerbaijan and Georgia would be held in Georgia.
