Georgian MFA: "Incident on "Keshikchidag" do not correspond to the strategic partnership relations between our countries"

The incident on the Georgian-Azerbaijani border with the participation of Georgian citizens, which occurred on Sunday at the “Keshikchidag” monastic complex, does not correspond to the strategic relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan, said the Georgian Foreign Ministry, APA reports.

“Such incidents do not correspond to the strategic partnership relations between our countries. Therefore, we believe that meetings of expert groups and delimitation committees should be continued in a timely manner, for which the Georgian side is fully prepared, ”the ministry’s statement said.

They also called on the public to show restraint and avoid provocations, and also added that a prerequisite for success is to help citizens in a peaceful environment.
