Armenian detainee has confirmed that Kurdish-descent mercenaries fight on the Armenian side, ONA reports.
Mikaelyan Albert Yervandi said that he was born on September 7, 2001, in the Shirak province of Artik city of Armenia.
"On December 19, 2019, I was conscripted to military service. I served in Gyumri. There, after six months of learning to use the Fagot, I was promoted to junior sergeant. Six months later, I was sent to a military unit in Martuni. I was in the anti-tank platoon there. The platoon regularly held military exercises. The military unit consisted of 1,500 conscripts and Kurdish mercenaries. There, the mercenaries received $ 600 a month, and they spoke only their own language. Mercenaries of 10-15 men studied the local conditions and prepared for battle," said MIkaelyan.
