"The conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia has lasted for more than 30 years. During the conflict that lasted for more than 30 years, a significant part of Azerbaijani territory was occupied by the armed forces of Armenia,' said Toivo Klaar, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus said at the defense committee of the European Parliament yesterday, ONA reports.
Klaar also touched on the clashes that took place on the border of the two countries last month: "Many people were killed in the clashes in September. So there is still a lot of work to be done. The EU, and especially President Charles Michel, is leading efforts for a lasting and just peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
