Mevlut Cavusoglu: Azerbaijan to abolish visa regime for Turkish citizens

The visa regime between Turkey and Azerbaijan will be canceled from September 1, 2019, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said, ONA reports citing NTV.

He noted that Turkish citizens coming to Azerbaijan from September 1 will not get a visa.

Azerbaijani diplomatic sources also confirmed the fact to ONA. It was stated that Turkish citizens will be able to travel to Azerbaijan without visas since September 1. The duration of stay of Turkish citizens in Azerbaijan is defined for 30 days.

Note that the Turkish side canceled the visa regime by the Azerbaijani citizens in 2007. Currently, the visa-free stay of Azerbaijani citizens in Turkey is 30 days.
