Opening ceremony of memorial plaques devoted to Polish architects held in Baku

On May 31, opening ceremony of memorial plaques devoted to the memoryof Polish architects has been held in Baku, ONA reports.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda have participated at the event held at Polish Architects Street of the capital.

Due to eternalization of memory of Polish architects, one of the historical streets of Baku is renamed to the “Polish Architects Street”. A memorial plaque with the names of Joseph Goslawski, Kazimir Skorewicz, Joseph Ploszko and Eugeniusz Skibinski and stone graved paintings with some buildings of the architects are hanged on one of the buildings in this street. Author of the memorial plaques is Honored Architect of Azerbaijan Elbay Gasimzade.
