Samad Seyidov: “Council of Europe is not ready for constructive dialogue, mutual cooperation”

“The Council of Europe is not ready for constructive dialogue, mutual cooperation”, said head of Azerbaijani Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), ONA’s European bureau reports.

Commenting on the report, adopted in the PACE on the political prisoners in Azerbaijan, S. Seyidov stated that Azerbaijan is always ready for mutual dialogue: “However, very different statements have been adopted by seeing it, insulting Azerbaijani population, government, and held elections and being interfered. Some issues, included into the report are absolutely unacceptable. We were always ready to cooperate, but not in this way. As Azerbaijan, we will never adopt any document under press. We assess the report as a direct pressure to Azerbaijan and a document, contrary to Azerbaijan’s national interests”, he said.

Samad Seyidov noted that current Council of Europe is not ready for constructive dialogue, mutual cooperation.
