Moscow hosted the meeting of CIS Foreign Ministers Council, ONA’s Moscow bureau reports.
FM of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov attended the meeting which was held at the Reception House of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the beginning, ministers held meetings in a limited format. At the meeting, the views were exchanged on the pressing issues of the international agenda and cooperation within the organization.
Then the meeting continued in an expanded format. The agenda of the meeting of CIS Council of Foreign Ministers has included 10 issues. The ministers discussed the statement project of heads of CIS states on the 80th anniversary of the Second World War and the activation of cooperation between foreign policy departments of the CIS countries.
The issue of the importance of maintaining the Great Patriotic War monuments was considered with delegations at the expanded format meeting.
At the meeting, documents on deepening cooperation in the field of culture, education and fight against crime were signed among the states.
