British Prime Minister Theresa May has addressed an appeal to the participants of the VII Global Forum, ONA reports.
Welcoming the forum participants, Theresa May expressed her gratitude to the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for the organization of the forum where the interesting issues were discussed.
British PM noted that the Global Baku Forum is aimed at promoting peace and cooperation among different countries around the world: "I support all the activities."
Speaking about the establishment of strong relations between Britain and Azerbaijan, the prime minister said that diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1992.
"Strategic energy cooperation with Azerbaijan is being discussed, and this cooperation has been calculated for many years, and there are many links between the two countries, and if the foundation of these ties is strong, there is mutual respect between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom," she said.
