Turkish MFA issues statement condemning resolution adopted by French Senate

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey has issued a statement on the adoption of Resolution No. 145 "On the need to recognize the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic" in the French Senate on November 25, ONA's local bureau reports.

The statement says that the resolution of the French Senate on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict adopted yesterday was a gross violation of the principles of international law.

“We completely refuse the baseless allegations mentioned in the resolution regarding Turkey. This decision of the French Senate is a clear example of why the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, which are needed to be neutral, not find a solution to the issue so far, and how they are taking sides. Azerbaijan has given a necessary response to Armenia’s aggressor acts in Tovuz and then in Nagorno Garabagh and Azerbaijan restored its territorial integrity by liberating lands which were about 30 years under occupation. The result achieved by Azerbaijan in the battlefield based on the UN resolutions,” said the statement.
