“I am very glad as I visited Azerbaijan. I hope my visit will result in success,” said the President of the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Volkan Bozkir who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, ONA reports.
According to him, they will conduct an exchange of views on the issues in the UN agenda at the meetings with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova.
“As well as assistance to countries in a difficult situation, fight against the pandemic, fair distribution of vaccines among all countries, at the same time, water problem, desertification, energy, and other issues will be discussed at the meetings that I will hold. Azerbaijan plays an important role in international issues. Further expansion of Azerbaijan's contribution to the UN, issue of reforms in the UN, Security Council will also be discussed at the meetings,” he stressed.
