Ali Ahmadov: “Interference of the people obtained immigrant status abroad in political processes in Azerbaijan is dangerous”

“Any political party should prioritize the interests of the country. Unfortunately, I want to mention that some people who received immigrant status abroad try to involve closely in political processes in Azerbaijan,” said Ali Ahmadov, Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party at roundtable meeting titled “Inadmissibility of outside interference in political processes in Azerbaijan” held with the participation of a number of political parties, non-governmental organizations, media representatives and independent political experts operating in Azerbaijan, ONA reports.

A. Ahmadov stated that those people may easily come over to foreign special service agencies' side: “Therefore, their interference in political processes is dangerous. Some of them allegedly are earning money from views on Youtube. This is groundless, you can check. The parties claiming for authority should represent the interests of the people, but not any external power. The main work of the immigrants is to discredit the Azerbaijani state, the President. Because Azerbaijan has become stronger and powerful. Foreign forces try to portray Armenia as "democratic" and Azerbaijan "anti-democratic" state. All these attempts are in vain. It is important that forces with healthy mind combine for the sake of national interests. Foreign forces may also try to interfere in the country through elections. It exists in practice."
