Azerbaijan temporarily impose restriction on imports of live poultry and chicken products from Poland

The Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AQTA) has issued the information regarding protection against infectious animal diseases which can be transferred to the territory of our country from other countries, the Agency told ONA.

The highly pathogenic “bird flu” disease has been detected on Lyublinsky and Velikopoljska administrative territories of Polish Republic by the World Organization for Animal Health. Due to this, it has been decided to impose temporary restriction on importation of live poultry and chicken products from those administrative territories of Polish Republic where the highly pathogenic “bird flu” disease has been recorded. 

At the same time, with the purpose of strengthening of the control measures, the appeal has been submitted to relevant division of the State Customs Committee in regard to disinfection at customs and border crossing points of the vehicles coming to our country from Polish Republic or passing in transit through the mentioned territories.
