Baku International Interfaith and Inter-Civilization Cooperation Center addresses statement to political and religious leaders

Baku International Interfaith and Inter-Civilization Cooperation Center under Caucasus Muslims Board released a statement, ONA reports citing the Center.

It is stated that this year United Nations has designated 22 August as the International Day commemorating the victims of acts of violence based on religion or belief: “We would like to express our solidarity and support with the people facing violence based on religion and belief and strictly condemn acts of violence of any grounds and dimensions. We state that we are ready to join our efforts and cooperate with political, public, scientific and religious institutions for prevention of the acts of violence committed against people for their religious identity and believes.

It is stated in the statement that spiritual monuments of our nation that were devastated and changed their faces at the Azerbaijani territories occupied by Armenia as a result of Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict have faced with such vandalized treatment.
