Entrance to Baku, Sumgait cities, Absheron district to be restricted from March 19

Entrance to Baku, Sumgait cities and Absheron district will be restricted from March 19.

Measures aimed at restriction of movement and strengthening of social isolation at all levels are underway in order to prevent coronavirus infection, Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers told ONA.

To this end, excepting movement of special-purpose, as well as emergent assistance, crash-recovery, rescue and trucks vehicles, the entrance of transportation vehicles, registered in cities and regions of the Republic and their passengers to Baku, Sumgait cities, and Absheron district is suspended from March 19 at 00:00 a.m. until March 29.

Passenger transportation by transportation means (bus, microbus, taxi, etc.), registered in Baku, Sumgait, and Absheron district, from other cities of the Republic to Baku, Sumgait, and Absheron district is banned.

Free entrance and exit of transportation means and their passengers, registered in Baku, Sumgait cities, and Absheron district, to and from Baku are allowed.

We call on automobiles and passenger transportation vehicles, registered in Baku, Sumgait cities, and Absheron district, to avoid from visiting out of residential settlements, they were registered, and from transporting passengers.

Excepting Sumgait and Absheron district, travel by train to Baku, Sumgait cities, and Absheron district from all cities and regions of the Republic is suspended.

Passenger transportation at airports of the Republic is suspended.

In order to maintain trade relations and meet food and other daily requirements, cargo transportation by all transportation means is free.

Legal obligation measures will be implemented on the persons, violating regulations of the special regime.
