Hande Harmanci apologizes for post that shared on social network

The WHO representative in Azerbaijan Hande Harmanci has lent clarity to the discontent developed in connection with her visit to Guba and Gusar regions, the WHO told ONA.

H. Harmanci said the following:

“Dear friends,

I would like to lend clarity to the issue of the picture that I shared on social media and that caused negative reaction.

As you know, we are implementing the REACT-C19 projected connected with the COVID-19 pandemic. In the framework of this project, 19 Azerbaijani doctors who received education in Turkey and are working as specialists, travel across various regions and cities of the country and provide assistance to local doctors currently.

On June 13, we together with those doctors made a visit to Guba and Gusar regions. The pictures and video that I shared on social media were shot during that visit.

I admit that I shared this post in a wrong time and therefore I apologize to you.

We still have to do a lot of work. We need your support very much. We may overcome the pandemic only together”.
