Head of Department of Virology: "As the temperature rises, the chances of the virus surviving become less"

Immunity is associated with genetic factors. That is, normal, healthy immunity is directly related to genetics. A person with a healthy immune system tolerates infectious and somatic diseases, not to mention the coronavirus, which can not be said about people with a weak immune system, head of the Department of Virology Research Institute of Medical Prevention Lala Rustamova told ONA.

According to her, it is necessary to conduct examinations to check the immune system. For this, there are methods of immune diagnostics: "There are certain indicators of immunity, based on which you can identify problems with the immune system. It is already known that cancer is also associated with the immune system, if there is a genetic predisposition, then people get cancer."

According to the doctor, coronavirus is not a new virus. In fact, the virus and emerging infections have been known since the beginning of last year, and are being intensively investigated: "Just a sudden outbreak of infection created a stir in the world. The presence of these viruses in the environment depends on a number of factors. First of all, this is the climate. Scientists have shown that these viruses live in the environment for 4-11 days at a temperature of 0-18 degrees. That is, with an increase in temperature, the chances of survival of the virus become less, inactivation occurs.”
