"The state budget of 2020 is an investment-driven and socially oriented budget", said the Deputy Chairman of the Parliament's Health Committee Musa Guliyev, ONA reports.
M. Guliyev said that social expenditure in the next year's state budget draft is by more than 8% compared to this year: “Thus, in the draft state budget for the next year, social spending is 38.6 percent. This is the highest socially oriented budget over the years of independence. Most of the costs are allocated to healthcare. Compared with the current year, expenditures on health increased by AZN 340 million, or by 31 percent. The amount of funds is 1 billion 400 million manats. Given that next year, the implementation of compulsory medical insurance will begin, it is expected that the budget will receive 500 million manats from insurance payments from employers and workers. Thus, next year, health care spending will exceed 2 billion manats.”
