If social distance not observed, coronavirus cases may increase, metro may be closed again

“Proceeding from our experience, I think that on May 9 being the non-working day, no passenger density will take place”, said today Hidayat Mammadov, deputy chairman of Baku Metro Operator CJSC at the press conference organized by the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers, ONA reports.

Hidayat Mammadov said trains in the metro will move with 2 minutes interval: "If necessary, changes will be made in trains’ movement schedule in order to eliminate passenger density".

He said the Baku Metro Operator CJSC will comply with the quarantine regime, while no employee at the age of over 65 will be involved in work until May 31.

And the chairman of the Baku Metro Operator CJSC Zaur Huseynov said if social distancing is not observed, the coronavirus cases may increase, metro may be closed again.
