On March 4, 2020, an appeal was received by the emergency medical aid call center regarding detection of high body temperature in a juvenile member of the family from the Islamic Republic of Iran settled down in Baku, State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance told ONA.

During the initial investigation it was revealed that the head of the family arrived in Azerbaijan’s territory on February 27, 2020 from the Islamic Republic of Iran where the coronavirus disease is widely spread. For this reason, a decision has been taken to get all members of the family passed through initial medical examinations for the purpose of prophylaxis and implementation of necessary initial tests. It was considered expedient to take to hospital other members of the family (8 Iranian citizens including 6 children) by means of the ambulance vehicle. Meanwhile, they showed resistance to the doctors’ brigade, and therefore the police officers were called to the scene of incident.
