Secondary school number 18 named after Nizami Aydin in Ganja has been fundamentally reconstructed, new corps constructed, ONA reports.
Mehriban Aliyeva, First Vice-President of Azerbaijan, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation viewed the current condition of the school and gave relevant instructions regarding reconstruction works of the building during her visit to the Ganja city on February.
The last repair works were conducted in 1988 in the building that had been under exploitation since 1965 and there was a need for the reconstruction. 795 students were studying at the school where there is place for only 649 students. Fundamental reconstruction works have been conducted at the old building, while new corps for 280 students was constructed taking into consideration the current needs. The condition created for 1000 students at the schools where Azerbaijani and Russian sections operate.
The staff of the school received the first congratulations from the First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva at the new academic year. Greetings of the First Vice-President conveyed to the staff of the school.
