Prosecutor requests 17-years sentence for Jahangir Hajiyev

Court trial on the criminal case of the convicted former chairman of the International Bank of Azerbaijan OJSC Jahangir Hajiyev, his relative Ismayil Hidayetzade, former MP Dunyamin Khalilov and others has continued at the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, ONA reports.

Prosecutor has made a speech in the trial process judged by the Judge Faig Ganiyev.

State Prosecutor requested to convict Jahangir Hajiyev to the 17-years and former MP Dunyamin Khalilov to the accumulated 15 years 9 months of prison sentence.

Prosecutor demanded to define 6-years of prison sentence for the one of the convicted persons Ismayil Hidayetzade.

Note that J. Hajiyev has been convicted to 15 years, D.Khalilov to 13 years and Ismayil Hidayetzade to 7 years of prison sentence due to the verdict of Baku Court of Grave Crimes.  Baku Court of Appeal reduced the sentence of D.Khalilov to 13 years, while Supreme Court decreased I.Hidayetzade’s punishment to 5 years.
