Special quarantine regime in Azerbaijan extended until September 30

As a result of measures, conducted in the direction of prevention of danger, can be caused by novel coronavirus in the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as people's seriously and responsibly following applied quarantine and hygiene rules, state-citizen solidarity, sanitary-epidemiological condition has been stabilized in the country, infection cases have decreased, APA reports citing decision of the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to the sanitary-epidemiological condition, some restrictions in cities, where strict quarantine regime have been applied since August 5, as well as along the whole country have been removed, and softening measures have been taken.

Furthermore, it has been decided that special quarantine regime, applied in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan is extended until 00:00 a.m. of September 30 in order to strengthen obtained successes, productive protection of people's lives and health by taking into consideration unsatisfactory COVID-19 situation in the world.

According to dynamics of infection with the virus and the existing sanitary and epidemiological situation, Jalilabad, Ganja, Masalli, Mingechevir, Yevlakh cities, and Barda, Goranboy, Goygol, Khachmaz, Salyan regions will be taken out of the strict quarantine regime zone beginning from August 31, 2020.

Based on the decision of the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers, some extra restrictions will still be continued in Baku and Sumgait cities and Absheron region where the number of infection cases is great.

Activities of museums and exhibition halls will be allowed along the country.

Individual and preparatory teaching services are allowed since August 31 in terms of following rules of special quarantine rules and gathering of not more than 10 people in a group.

The sanitary and epidemiological situation will be analyzed and the issue of full reopening of mutual inter-regional travels will be re-considered. 

The public transport will not function on the following days in Baku, Sumgait cities, and Absheron region where the strict quarantine regime is applied.

From 00:00 a.m. on September 5 until 06:00 a.m. on September 7;2

From 00:00 a.m. on September 12 until 06:00 a.m. on September 14;

From 00:00 a.m. on September 19 until 06:00 a.m. on September 21;

From 00:00 a.m. on September 26 until 06:00 a.m. on September 28.
