“Baku Forum is an important platform for intercultural dialogue in the modern world,” said Rodolfo Nin Novoa, the Foreign Minister of Uruguay, at a plenary session titled “Mobilizing Intercultural Dialogue for Concrete Transformative Action” as part of the 5th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.
The minister said that today there is a great migration crisis in the world.
“People who have been brought from Africa as workers are now worthy members of the Uruguayan society. Migrants make a significant contribution to the country’s economic, social and political life. Any discrimination is unacceptable. Ethnically rich Uruguay supports respecting all cultures. Uruguay supports the Baku Forum. As a result of dialogue, the world can be more secure.”
