PSG sign Everton midfielder Gueye

French football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) signed Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye on Tuesday, ONA reports citing Anadolu Agency.

The club said on website that Senegalese international Gueye inked a four year deal with PSG, keeping him at Parc des Princes until June 30, 2023.

Gueye, 29, recently played in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations final with Senegal but was unable to avoid the 1-0 loss against Algeria in July.

The new signing of PSG returned to France four years later as he was a Lille player from 2010 to 2015, scoring six goals and producing five assists in 176 appearances for "Les Dogues" (The Great Danes).

In 2011, Gueye won the French top-tier Ligue 1 title and French Cup with Lille.

A French sports daily, L'Equipe said that PSG will pay €32 million ($35.6 million) transfer fee for Everton.

Gueye previously played for Everton and Aston Villa in England.

Last season he had 33 English Premier League appearances at Everton.
